Somatic Healing in London

Move Beyond Burnout, Reclaim Your Voice, and Feel Fully Alive

Living in a city as vibrant, diverse and demanding as London can bring extraordinary opportunities for connection, creativity and belonging. Yet beneath the pace of everyday life, there may also be exhaustion, anxiety, a sense of disconnection, or the quiet feeling that somewhere along the way, you've lost touch with yourself.

For People of Colour, these experiences may carry additional layers. Navigating different cultural worlds, racialised stress, family expectations, the pressure to remain strong, or the experience of being unseen or misunderstood can take a toll — not only emotionally, but in the body.

Perhaps you've become so accustomed to meeting the needs of others, achieving, adapting, or simply getting through the day that there is little room left for your own needs, desires and authentic expression.

What might become possible if you no longer had to hold everything together?

At Unbound, I offer a culturally attuned, body-centred approach to psychotherapy that invites you to slow down, listen inwardly and begin reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been silenced, constrained or forgotten.

Through somatic awareness, movement, creative expression and the therapeutic relationship, we explore not only what has been difficult, but also what supports your capacity for choice, connection, vitality and aliveness.

This is a space where your history, culture, identity and lived experience are welcomed as part of the whole of who you are.

When the Body Carries More Than Words Can Express

Stress, anxiety and overwhelming experiences don't only affect our thoughts and emotions. They can also influence how we breathe, move, relate to others and experience ourselves in our bodies.

You may notice persistent tension, exhaustion, restlessness, difficulty relaxing, or a sense of being constantly on alert. Sometimes, the body continues to respond to experiences that the mind has learned to minimise or put aside.

Body psychotherapy offers an opportunity to explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion.

Alongside conversation, we may pay attention to sensations, emotions, posture, movement, breath and the impulses that arise in the present moment. There is no pressure to explore anything before you feel ready.

Rather than trying to force change, we begin by developing a deeper understanding of how you have adapted to life's experiences and what might support new possibilities.

A Space Where Your Whole Self Is Welcome

Our experiences of ourselves are inseparable from the families, cultures, communities and wider societies in which we live.

For People of Colour, questions of identity, belonging, migration, racial discrimination and intergenerational expectations may form an important part of the therapeutic journey.

Sometimes these experiences are spoken about openly. At other times, they live quietly beneath the surface, shaping our relationships, sense of worth, emotional expression and capacity to feel at ease in the world.

My approach recognises the relationship between personal experience and the wider cultural, historical and social forces that influence our lives.

You are invited to bring the fullness of who you are into the therapeutic space, without having to set aside important parts of your identity or experience.

Finding Your Way Back to Yourself

Therapy is not only about understanding what has been painful or difficult. It can also be an exploration of what brings meaning, pleasure, connection and vitality into your life.

My work draws upon body psychotherapy, relational approaches, somatic awareness and expressive arts.

Depending on what feels appropriate, our sessions may include conversation, gentle movement, creative exploration, imagery or simply noticing what is happening in the body.

There is no prescribed way to engage in this work. We move at a pace that respects your needs, boundaries and capacity, allowing space for curiosity, discovery and choice.

Over time, this exploration may open possibilities for a different relationship with yourself and others — one that allows greater freedom of expression, authenticity and aliveness.
